NeoGAF spots four new XBLA bundles coming
NeoGAF users have spotted what appears to be four new bundles based on Xbox Live Arcade. The logos were found in the Marketplace on Xbox.com. No prices or release dates are known, but the games should cost less than the individual XBLA titles will.
Earth multiplayer Mass Effect 3 DLC highlights upcoming Marketplace content
The upcoming free Earth multiplayer downloadable content for Mass Effect 3 highlights the upcoming Xbox Live Marketplace content revealed by Major Nelson's blog. Other notable offerings includes a Bethesda DLC sale with content for Oblivion and Fallout 3 at 50% off, followed by a half-off sale for Ubisoft games. The Summer of Arcade proceedings start with the release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD on the 18th July as well.
Dungeon Fighter LIVE hitting XBLA on the 13th July
Nexon has announced that the Xbox Live Arcade version of its free-to-play Dungeon Fighter Online is arriving on Xbox Live Arcade as Dungeon Fighter Live: Fall of Hendon Myre on the 13th July.
Free-to-play titles hitting Xbox Live next year?
IGN is reporting that a "trusted source" has told them that Microsoft will be launching free-to-play titles (read as: microtransaction-based games) on the Xbox 360 next year.
Dungeon Fighter Online coming to XBLA
Microsoft and Nexon have issued a press release that one of the biggest MMOs in the world, Dungeon Fighter Online, will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade. How big is the game? There are over 200 million registered users online, and set a record for concurrent users with 2.2 million players playing at the same time at one point. The MMO is also unusual in that unlike most MMOs, Dungeon Fighter Online plays as a 2D platforming action title, resembling Rolling Thunder more than World of Warcraft.
