Splinter Cell: Blacklist director joins WB Games Montreal as 'Creative Director'

Ubisoft loses Splinter Cell: Blacklist director Patrick Redding, who was also the narrative designer for Far Cry 2, as he leaves to join WB Games Montreal - the creator of Batman: Arkham Origins.

No project has been announced yet with Redding attached. Arkham Origins was the studio's first title since forming in 2010. Over 100 new jobs will be added to the studio.

'Far Cry: The Wild Expedition' out February 21st, includes Far Cry Classic

The compilation bundle Far Cry: The Wild Expedition from Ubisoft will be out February 21st now, as it delays from the 14th. Ubisoft has released a new Far Cry Classic launch trailer, which is part of the bundle.

It's the original Far Cry updated with HD splendidness, and includes some beefed up game mechanics. It comes to PC at around £24.99, and £29.99 for consoles.

Ubisoft announce Far Cry: The Wild Expedition for PC and console February 14th

Ubisoft has just announced the impending arrival of Far Cry: The Wild Expedition which is a compilation of all Far Cry games, from the original all the way to the Blood Dragon.

It's expected to be reasonably priced to bring the cheer of hunting folks down, in jungle or desert, and using some rather serious firepower while doing it. It's due out February 14th.

UK chart led by FIFA 13, top five titles enjoy encore

EA Sports' FIFA 13 has kept itself atop the UK all format chart for the sixth week, and its second time in 2013. The top five titles in fact haven't changed, leaving Far Cry 2 in second place.

Ubisoft's island shooter is followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in third, Hitman: Absolution fourth and Need for Speed: Most Wanted fifth. Just Dance 4 bopped it around Halo 4 taking sixth.

Far Cry 2's Clint Hocking joins Valve

Clint Hocking, a former creative lead on series Splinter Cell and Fry Cry 2, has joined up with team Valve for a position not yet announced. Hocking also stood as creative director at LucasArts.

He left his Skywalker employer last month but recently tweeted a pic of his son climbing the big valve-tap of a certain Half-Life developer. Whilst at LucasArts he never released any projects.
