This is one of the games that made it into the history. First part rocked, showed the world how FPS should be made. This one confirmed that Valve knows it's bussiness and set new standards when it comes to gameplay, facial expressions and physics. Games never looked so good! Even for todays standards when gamers want as many AA and bloom as possible. Brilliant game - 9.4/10!
Good Points:Great graphics, great atmoshere and in general shoot, shoot, shoot! The charachers of Half-Life 2 have become legendary models due to their reactions and the dialogs that follow them.Fast action like in Half-Life and a hell of a plot.
Bad Points:There are some problems about the beginning of the game when the citizens dont recognize Gordon Freeman but after some minutes Gordon becomes the Hero as well.Valve should have checked that.
Synopsis:Like the first Half-Life in the series Gordon Freeman cant dissapoint us.Sit on your chair, grab a beer,a lemonade or anything you want and give the Combines a lesson they will never forget.Thank you Valve.
Here we are again back with Gordon, the G-Man, and friends. It was a long time from when the original Half Life came out until this sequel arrived on the scene, but it was worth it. Boy, was it worth it. What is it about this game that you can't love?
The first thing you see are the graphics. Phenomenal. Just amazing. The ripples of the water. The way the bodies you shoot slowly bump down a chain link fence. It's nigh on incredible. Never has a game seemed to offer so much just for visual delight. And then there is the weapons, the enemies, everything just draws you in. You can run. You can drive an airboat. A car. You remember the head crabs from the original game, but they're so much more - heady in this one! The people you meet all have things to say. Sometimes they're funny, and sometimes they're serious - but the dialog is great no matter who you talk to. Even the guards at the train station are amusing.
This game is a joy to play. Yes it's linear, as many FPS games are, but you feel drawn down the path, rather than pushed down it. And there is so much to do and see along the way, you're totally immersed in the experience. Definitely one of the very best FPS games out there.
