Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues Summary
Developer, known as Lord British to his minions of evil, raised almost $2 million for his next MMO Shroud of the Avatar, a spiritual sequel to Ultima.
It's been available for backers to play for a while, but soon everyone else will be able to get their hands on it - developer Portalarium has announced that the game will release onthis November 24.
Online RPG Shroud of the Avatar from Richard 'Lord British' Garriott barely had time to heckle Steam users before it was met with "incredibly fast" nods of approval from Valve through Greenlight.
Developer Portalarium thanked supporters for creating such a positive surge for the RPG, and they're now busy scrambling to get Shroud of the Avatar ready for Early Access.
Richard Garriott and his studio Portalarium have just added multiplayer as a new feature of the early access build for RPG Shroud of the Avatar. Chums can now interact with one another through chat and emotes.
These "short three to four day tests" greatly help, and now multiplayer functions will be thrown into the mix. An 'add friend' menu now exists as so does a new village.
RPG Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues has crossed the $3 million threshold in crowd-funding and continues to march upward. Over $1.1 million has been pledged directly to the development team.
It seems on track to eventually best its Kickstarter campaign which ended with $1,919,275. Release 2 of the RPG is due January 22nd, and they're "working feverishly to get it ready!"
