The corporate giant is offering the chance for five developers in the UK to come up with prototypes for new content on the PlayStation Network.
The teams that have their experiments green lit by Sony execs will receive GBP 10,000 and full production could go ahead next year. A total of GBP 50,000 is up for grabs.
”The final stage of the workshop will see companies pitch their ideas to a panel of Sony executives and Executive Producers. This panel will select 5 companies to receive £10,000 to prototype their game over the first 3 months of 2009,” explains the Northwest Vision and Media website on the ‘Get in the Game’ project.
”These ideas will then be shown to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe with the possibility of going into full production.”
The whole workshop event is designed to let the UK’s Northwest V&M present ”their strategies to support the games industry in the Northwest.”
It takes place today at the Liverpool Technology Park.
