Speaking at the publishers latest financial gathering, the big chief Yves Guillemot said the fruits of their labour will be seen ”as early as” Christmas.
A lot’s planned for this financial Ubi year: Assassin’s Creed 2, James Cameron’s Avatar, Splinter Cell Conviction, Rabbids Go Home, Red Steel 2, Anno 1401, I Am Alive and more…
”The results of these efforts will be seen as early as this Christmas with one of the industry’s most ambitious games line-ups which will include Assassin’s Creed 2, James Cameron’s Avatar, Splinter Cell Conviction, Rabbids Go Home and Red Steel 2,” said Guillemot.
Splinter Cell: Conviction takes a rather different approach to the series that previous entries, in fact it apparently adopts the crowd mechanics of Assassin’s Creed. This ambitious change of direction has kept the title back from release far longer than they originally planned.
Ubisoft’s financial year wraps on up on March 31st, 2010. See the UbiDay’s 2007 trailer below for Splinter Cell: Conviction.
