In order to allow for seamless online play with the new downloadable warriors, free compatibility packs will be required to download with the release of each new warrior, meaning, people will be able to play against you as one of the downloadable characters, even if you haven’t purchased the content for yourself.
As a way of excusing the trouble of having to download a fighter onto your game that you cannot access without paying for, each compatibility pack will come with two free “klassic skins”. The first DLC fighter, Skarlet, will come with Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3iinspired Cyrax and Sektor.
PlayStation 3 owners won’t be given the Season Pass, and will have to pay $4.99 for each DLC fighter, though they still receive the skins for free as well.
