IO Interactive is promising that Hitman Absolution will have the most individualised NPCs ever in a game, as the developer will give every single enemy a biography and AI personality.
According to game director Tor Blystad, the game features 2000 pages worth of script for the AI alone. Enemies won’t be cookie-cutter characters, each and every one with their own name, identity and behavior.
”We’re still doing voice recordings and pick-ups. We just did a big recording before Christmas and we have another one. We’ll see how much we can cram in, it’ll basically come down to logistics and memory. We have a script of 2000 pages for the AI alone. It’s huge,” said Blystad.
Hitman Absolution will be released in 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
