Geniaware has announced that Italian football manager Gianluca Vialli is techically advising the developer on the training mode for Lords of Football. The timing of the press release is amusing in light of the recent Euro 2012 match between Italty and England just last night.
The Italy-based developer is showing off its training editor and character creator for the first time. The game will also feature a host of tactical options that will allow gamers to “push” their football players in training - with the danger the players will find unauthorized ways of relaxing in their off-time.
The character creator will also take psychology into account in addition to player skills.
According to Geniaware development director Sean Griffiths, “Lords of Football really puts the sim into football simulation. Never before has a game captured everything about the lifestyle of football – from the highs of taking a team to the top of the league, to the lows of the tabloid headlines. The new images we’ve released today hint at some of the depth to come – we’ll be showing more detail over the coming weeks.”
Lords of Football is due to be released on PC in Summer 2012.
