Retro Affect has announced their new 2D puzzle platformer, Snapshot, for the PlayStation 3 and Vita on the PlayStation US Blog to be released this Fall 2012; in another press release, a PC version was announced, and will be released later in the year.
In the game, the gamer plays a robot named Pic who uses a camera to capture items within a photo, and paste the pic elsewhere to allow the objects to come out. The game eventually goes from rudimentary captures of physical objects to more sophisticated concepts such as photographing light or capturing moving objects and using their momentum. Angular momentum also counts, as turning a photo upside down will cause a falling object to launch into the air.
The developer also released a debut trailer - check it out in the video below.
