Star Wars 1313 production halted temporarily

Thanks to the Disney acquisition of the Star Wars brand, the intriguing LucasArts third-person action title Star Wars 1313 will probably miss E3 and be released in 2014. This was revealed by three unnamed sources, who contradicted LucasArts promise that development was not affected by the sale.

When prompted for a response, a LucasArts representative assured, ”LucasArts has been working diligently to take advantage of the tremendous opportunities that the new Star Wars movies present. Star Wars 1313 continues production.”

The sources also revealed that the original game was to be called Star Wars Underground and it would be an open-world role-playing game much like Knights of the Old Republic, with episodic downloadable expansions.
