Lionel “Seith” Gallat, an ex-Dreamworks and Universal Studios animator, has begun the process of crowdfunding for his upcoming Ghost of a Tale game. The title features a mouse in a medieval setting, perhaps taking inspiration from various animated films from the last decade.
The creator, who worked on films including Despicable Me, Shark Tale and The Lorax, recently launched his page on IndieGogo, and explained exactly where the cash would go.”I could pay the people who have recently offered their help on the project, just based on some screenshots,” Gallat said. ”I would be able to properly hire them. And I can’t do that on my savings alone.
”I have to buy upgrades for several expensive professional programs/licenses so they’re up to today’s standards. My computer is four years old and my graphic card is definitely not optimised for video games.”
Sounds like an interesting project, especially as Gallat outlines Zelda, Ico and Dark Souls as his inspiration.
