Xbox One games will have mandatory installs on the hard drive, but gamers won’t need to wait for the games to finish installing to start playing them, Microsoft has confirmed.
The PlayStation 4 will also allow players to start playing their games after a certain percentage of a download of a game has been completed; Microsoft has yet to confirm if this is possible too.
PC gamers are already used to this with MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft, which not only allows gamers to start playing mid-install, but also during streamed patches and updates.
