The EVE Universe is set to expand as CCP Games has announced EVE: Valkyrie. It’s a ”dogfighting shooter” for EVE’s many spaceships, and will be using ‘EVE-VR’ which showcased at EVE Fanfest 2013.
They’re using VR to make players feel more like pilots in their EVE spaceships. CCP has ”big plans” in the works for Valkyrie and its EVE-VR technology. A trailer has released.
”From the moment this year’s Fanfest attendees first got their hands on EVE-VR, the question has been, ‘When can I have this?’,” said CCP CEO Hilmar Veigar Petursson.
“What started as a passion project by a small, incredibly talented group of CCP developers became one of the most highly anticipated games of the year — before we even announced it. We have big plans for EVE: Valkyrie and I can’t wait to share more details later this year.” EVE: Valkyrie releases on PC in 2014.
