The Spike VGX Awards might be done and dusted, but the upcoming Game Awards looks set to continue the tradition of revealing a whole new wave of game world premieres.
Host Geoff Keighley claims that a whopping twelve brand new titles will be premièred during the awards show in Las Vegas on Friday.
Dualshockers caught the comment in a Twitch stream Keighley appeared in to promote the awards show. The presenter hinted that some of the announcements would be rabidly received by fans.
“I reviewed something today which is kind of a out of the left field announcement,” Keighley said, “which I wasn’t sure of how big it was going to be, but I saw the assets and I’m like “wow, people are gonna go crazy for this.”
Apart from the fact that both Sony and Microsoft are involved with the show, we have no idea what these announcements might reveal. Apart from Metal Gear Online, which is probably one of those twelve games despite being tied into Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. We’ll have to wait until Friday to find out more.
