Those hoping for news of a sequel to 2013’s Tomb Raider reboot might be in luck, as internet gaming sleuth Superannuation has uncovered two new domain registration from publisher Square Enix; LaraCroftAndTheTempleOfOsiris.com and RiseOfTheTombRaider.com.
Neither of these have anything to do with any current or upcoming Tomb Raider products, so the chances are high we’ll see something new from developer Crystal Dynamics at this week’s E3 convention.
While one of the new sites (probably Rise of the Tomb Raider) could be a promotional page, there’s also a chance we might see both a full sequel to Tomb Raider and another mobile or handheld title like Lara Croft: Guardian of Light. In fact, NintendoForce staff writer Emily Rogers added fuel to the speculative flames with a tweet that read, “I think Guardian of Light fans will be happy in near future. That’s all I’m going to say. Not a mobile-only project.”
Interesting. Expect new info to emerge this week, as E3 slowly rumbles to life. Personally I’m looking forward to the latest installment of Lara’s next-gen haircuts.
