Some might just remember that Microsoft used to make, or at least publish, those video game thingies for PC. Well, according to Phil Spencer, the software giant will be ”talk about gaming on Windows” in January.
Why early in the New Year? In January Microsoft is expected to hold a special event to debut the new Windows 10. This new OS is expected to unify multiple devices under a single operating system.
@RpLayy I'll be focusing more on what we are doing on Win10 in January, it's time for us to talk about gaming on Windows.

Similar promises have been made before by Microsoft’s bigwig executives, but now that they actually have an entire operating system at stake, perhaps they’ll back up their PR-heavy speak with some action. The new DirectX is also said to be ‘more open’ than previous versions, as pressure mounts on the API to give developers greater access to hardware.
Will Microsoft deliver on some tangible PC gaming news in January? Their previous lacklustre attempts included shoving an app-centric Windows Store into Windows 8, an OS generally ignored by the majority of Windows users.
Microsoft’s special Windows 10 event takes place January 21st in Seattle, Washington.
