If you’ve been wondering how exactly Telltale’s much anticipated Game of Thrones adventure game would look, wonder no longer. Here’s your first glimpse of the in-game graphics.
Eight screenshots that leaked yesterday haven’t been officially confirmed as being from the serialised adventure set to kick off before the end of the year, but given the style and the appearance of several well-known characters, they look a safe bet.
Popping up are Tyrion Lannister, his sister Cersei, the wily Margaery Tyrell and several unknown faces that could be members of House Forrester, five members of which we will be controlling in the final game. The screens were revealed in a Twitter post that was swiftly deleted, but Game Informer stepped in to capture them before they went missing.
They resemble the cartoonish style of Telltale’s previous efforts, but with the comic book style lines on characters’ faces and clothing removed. A slightly more realist look, which seems to suit the grim, gritty world of A Song of Ice and Fire a lot better.
Episode one of Game of Thrones, titled Iron From Ice, is expected out before the end of the year.
