The first trailer for Iron From Ice, the opening episode of Telltale’s highly anticipated Game of Thrones adventure series is out, and it reveals some welcome news for fans of the show.
Several high-profile cast members, including Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Natalie Dromer (Margaery Tyrell) and Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Snow) will appear in the series.
Hopefully Dinklage sounds a bit more interested in this one. Additional cast members will appear in later episodes, according to Telltale. If Bronn turns up I’ll be happy. It’s a good sign that there’s a strong connection between the game and the show, and it will be interesting to see how Telltale deals with these well-loved characters. From the trailer, it seems like professional maniac Ramsay Snow will play a major antagonistic role.
As for the noble House Forrester, making its first direct appearance in the franchise lore, Telltale has released information on thirteen members of the family, of which only five will be playable, to a bunch of gaming websites. I’ve listed them below, with their respective websites. Credit to VG247 for compiling the full list.
Interestingly, Telltale says the five playable members are spread “across Westeros and Essos”. Which means we might be venturing to some areas of the Song of Ice and Fire world that haven’t been covered in much detail yet.
The Game of Thrones season premiere, Iron from Ice, will be available to buy before the end of the year.
