Italian studio Milestone s.r.l. is currently developing RIDE, a superbike racer that’s the developer’s first ever proprietary IP.
The team has released a new trailer for the Ducati 1199 Superleggera, one of the street bikes you’ll be able to ride in the final game.
As for RIDE itself, it’s an attempt by Milestone to break away from doing licensed products and try making their own game. The studio’s a specialist in motorcycling games, having worked on franchises such as MotoGP and SBK over the years.
“Created for the players and building on the experiences of the serried ranks of bike fans,” the developers say, “this new IP offers players the chance to ride over 100 bikes, in 4 different categories - Superbikes, Supersports, Naked, and Historical Bikes - and take them hurtling at full speed over a huge variety of city, country and historic circuits from the world of motorcycling.”
The game is scheduled for release in spring 2015 for PC and consoles. Unofrtunately it’s only slow-motion glamour videos we’ve seen for RIDE so far, but if your a superbike fan it’s probably one to keep an eye on.
