Need for Speed creative director Craig Sullivan confirmed in an interview that not only will the racing game reboot be getting a ”substantial amount” of downloadable content, it will also be completely free.
”We’re going to give you everything for free,” stated Sullivan in the interview. ”I’ve seen the plans for what’s going to happen over the next few weeks and months – there’s nothing in there, by which I mean, we don’t even have the ability to charge you in the game. There’s no store to speak of.”
He went on to say that fans generally are wary of buying games because they feel that they’re only paying for won’t be a complete game.”
Sullivan described, ”The plan is that there are no transactions in this game. All of the content that we’re going to give you – a pretty substantial amount in the future, starting pretty soon – is going to be free. That’s what players deserve.”
This basically a reiteration of what Ghost Games claimed back in September. However, PC gamers will still have to wait til Spring 2016 to play it.
