Swery 65’s frankly nuts episodic adventure D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die will be released on PC June 5, according to a Famitsu interview (kindly translated by Gematsu).
The game will be available on Steam, the Humble Store, GOG.com and more, and will set you back $14.99. It comes with all existing Xbox One content (including Beard DLC!), and a new control method to replace the original’s Kinect motion control.
D4 stars David Young, a private investigator whose wife has been murdered. He discovers that he can travel back in time by interacting with various ‘mementos’ from his past, and sets out to both find out who was responsible, and attempt to alter the timeline to save her. Obviosuly, because this is a Swery game after all, it gets far, far weirder than that.
I should point out that this is the full version of D4, rather than the original episodic structure. There’s a full list of the changes and additions to the PC version of D4 over on the game’s official website. The user interface has been reworked for PC, and there’s a fairly decent roster of in-game options that cater to the platform. It’s not a demanding game, but I’ll add in the recommended and minimum specifications below:
