Even for a race that specialises in fantastic eyebrows, Kael’thas Sunstrider’s upper-eye topiary is impressive. The impeccably groomed Blood Elf lord is the latest character to be confirmed for Blizzard’s MOBA Heroes of the Storm.
According to the ever-reliable WoW Wiki (my Warcraft lore game is pretty weak), Sunstrider is the Prince of Quel’Thalas, who allies with the Burning Legion – an army of actual demons - in order to find a cure for his race’s addiction to magic. This isn’t very well received by his fellow Blood Elves.
There’s no indication as to what role Sunstrider will take on the field, but given his affinity for magic it’s safe to assume he’ll probably be some kind of ranged damage dealer, perhaps with a few teleport tricks up his well-embroidered sleeves.
Blizzard will be giving us the full lowdown on the new guy in a Reddit Q&A at 2:30 PM PST on May 12, which you can bookmark here. The Q&A will last “roughly 1.5 hours”, and will be hosted by hero designers John Hodgson and Kent-Erik Hagman.
