Blizzard has announced at PAX East that the closed beta for its team-based multiplayer shooter Overwatch will start in the Fall.
The studio also revealed two new heroes; musclebound heavy weapons lady Zarya, and Clint Eastwood wannabe Jesse McCree.
Overwatch was announced last year at Blizzcon. It’s a colourful team shooter in the style of Team Fortress 2, with a cast of international heroes slugging it out across various maps. Zarya is a Russian tank-class heavy who can fire a kind of singularity gun, while McCree is an American, and thus naturally carries lots of revolvers and thinks he’s Clint Eastwood.
You can sign up for the Overwatch beta on the game’s official website, as well as check out the full roster of confirmed heroes.
