To celebrate fifteen years of Total War games, Sega has released a retrospective video that charts the course of franchise from inception to present day, showing all the games that have been developed from the original Shogun: Total War to the recently released Total War: Attila.
Most tantalizingly, the trailer also appears to tease the Total War: Warhammer game that developer Creative Assembly apparently has on the boil but has yet to make official.
The existence of Total War: Warhammer was unceremoniously outed back in January when eagle-eyed fans spotted a reference to the game in the officially produced Art of Total War book.
Way back in the mists of 2012, Creative Assembly signed a deal to make multiple games set within the fantasy version of Games Workshop’s highly popular tabletop board game.
Games set in the Warhammer 40K universe it seems, wasn’t included in the deal that was struck.
The tease, naturally brief as any decent tease should be, appears at the end of trailer where a purple haze engulfs the screen before a guttural roar closes the video out.
