Xbox boss Phil Spencer reiterated his desire in an interview with the Brazilian branch of Gizmodo that at some point, he’d like to see Xbox 360 games playable on Windows 10, but there are priorities.
According to Spencer, “It’s something I want to do, [and] I would love to have the ability to play Xbox 360 on PC at some point, but it would be great to have support for original Xbox games too. He added, “So yes, I want to do, but has many other things we want to do well. People fight with me for not having background music, so we have much work to do.”
The ability to play Xbox 360 games on PC would open up the library of games that PC owners never got a chance to play, such as the latter titles of the Halo series (3, ODST, Reach and 4) and Red Dead Redemption.
Currently, Windows 10 owners can stream Xbox One games through their PC, but it’s not true emulation.
