Paradox Interactive has announced a new expansion for Knights of Pen and Paper 2 called “Here Be Dragons”. The new expansion will add a new story, new features, and more humor, as well as adding a new in-game class and a new player type.
Knights of Pen & Paper 2 is a roleplaying game where players take on the roles of players playing a pen and paper RPG, complete with GM. The meta-game involves the player (you) telling the players playing the roleplaying game what to tell their dungeon master to do. Much of the inside geek humor comes from the interaction between the players and the DM and their interaction with the campaign itself.
The Here Be Dragons expansion includes new, high-level party questing to hunt down the ultimate prey; dragons. It adds a new in-game character class, the Knight, as well as a new player type, the Bookworm, who is a rules lawyer and min-maxes everything. The expansion also features new crafting recipes, an increased level cap, a new dungeon and insane kings.
