Developer Pieces Interactive and Publisher Paradox Interactive rolled out their charming co-op action-adventure prequel Magicka 2 in the middle of summer this year and, while not a game changer, it was a refreshingly amusing second shot in the series. Today, it was revealed that DLC is on the way for the game and it will be split between paid and free content.
The announcement came out of Magicka’s official Twitter stream, alongside a little teaser showing off one of the new spells players will get to use in the new DLC. The new spell is quite impressive to say the least and supplies a nice little taste of what can be expected. You can check it out on Imgur.

Magicka 2 is not a mind-blowing game by any means, but it quite a good time to be had by yourself or with a friend. Our own reviewer gave it a 8.5 back in June. There’s no telling what the ratio of free to premium content will be, but it would probably be safe to assume that the spell shown on Imgur is something players will get to add to their arsenal without dropping a dime.
Either way, all of the DLC teased will be showing up on the market tomorrow, probably on Steam.
