Developer Visceral Games has announced the first details on the second Battlefield Hardline beta. It’s coming to all platforms including PC, there’s no level cap, and though we don’t have an official date, it’s apparently on the way soon.
It will be interesting to see if Visceral has managed to forge a bit more of a distinct identity for the cops versus robbers shooter with those extra months of development time – last year’s beta was fun, but it felt more like a mod for Battlefield 4 than a standalone game in its own right.
“To be frank, we want you to play this beta to death,” writes Visceral’s GM Steve Papoutsis. “We need you to. This test is only going to make the game stronger, and help us take a look at ways we can ensure we deliver the most stable launch you deserve.”
In the beta you’ll be able to try out the car chase inspired Hotwire mode, 64-player Conquest, and a bunch of new toys, weapons and gadgets. There’s no word on when it will go live, but Visceral is releasing new information every Wednesday, so keep an eye on the forums.
