Technically the Star Wars: Battlefront release date should be revealed later today, but Gamespot has spotted a line of source code that may have leaked it a bit early.
The line of code in question reads; ”The latest news and updates for Star Wars Battlefront. Available November 17, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.”
That date falls on a Tuesday, a few weeks before Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens hits cinemas (while we’re on the subject, I’ve still barely recovered from that kickass second trailer). No confirmation just yet, but that timing would make sense given what we’ve heard from EA previously.
It’s basically all kicking off. Game Informer has discovered an image of a stormtrooper from the game posted on EA’s Instagram account, while later today at 10:30 PDT/ 17:30 GMT we’ll get to feast our eyes on the first official trailer.
I’m excited about Star Wars again, guys! I never thought that would happen. Now we just need another singleplayer Knights of the Old Republic announcement, and I can die a happy man.
