Backers of retro action platformer Mighty No. 9 must be wondering when they’ll actually get their hands on the game; a promised backer demo was meant to be released on September 15 - the date the main game was originally supposed to drop - but a recent blog post from the development team reveals that its been pushed back indefinitely.
”Finally, we know that all of our fans are looking forward to the Special Demo Version we are preparing,” Comcept USA wrote, at the very end of a post that was nominally about a character creation contest, ”and we just ask that you be a little more patient. The team is working on it, but some issues popped up regarding the distribution method so there is a good chance it will not be ready to launch by the 15th. We are really sorry for the inconvenience.”
The Keiji Inafune-inspired platformer has had nothing but trouble since it first completed its Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign way back in 2013.
Fans are worried, and understandably frustrated given the massive funding pool of nearly $4 million that the project raised through Kickstarter.
