The Creative Assembly has put out another Let’s Play video for its upcoming grand strategy epic Total War: Warhammer, and this time it’s the diminutive but dangerous dwarfs that are the stars of the show.
The Ambush at the Thundering Falls also shows off the game’s new underground battles, which look impressively cinematic.
High King Grudgebearer finds himself ambushed by the goblin hordes as he travels through the tunnels that connect the dwarf kingdoms. With his smaller force, he has to hold off a swarm of critters, including giants, spiders and other unpleasant foes.
Fortunately he’s got an arsenal of hideously powerful toys at his disposal, including siege cannons, flamethrower dwarfs (this sort of thing is why Warhammer is brilliant), and even gyrocopters that hurl bombs down at the enemy.
This level will be playable at EGX 2015 next week. If you’re not attending, you’ll have to wait until sometime next year to get your hands on Total War: Warhammer.
