If it weren’t bad enough with the brew-ha-ha between CD Projekt RED and Green Man Gaming over selling The Witcher 3, now users who pre-ordered with the digital store are reporting ‘invalid code’ errors with keys.
Attempting to register the keys with GOG.com is the problem, including GOG Galaxy. Hopefully this is little more than a glitch in the system and GMG will be able to reissue working keys asap.
It should be remembered that none of the digital store’s keys were directly bought from the RPG developer or through GOG.com, but were sourced elsewhere through legitimate channels. Anyone having issues with their pre-order keys from GMG should submit a support request.
As of right now GMG is ”out of stock” for the RPG.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases today on PC and console.
