Eidos Montreal has released a bumper 25-minute gameplay trailer for its upcoming cyberpunk sequel Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, narrated by audio director Steve Szczepkowski. Pointy-bearded hero Adam Jensen is on a mission in Prague, where as usual he had to decide between sneaking around and murdering every single thing in sight.
Be aware, at around the 18:25 - 22:20 mark there is a scene featuring some minor story SPOILERS, so skip ahead if you want to go into the game fresh.
The main focus here is on the plight of augmented humans, who are seen being herded around and intimidated by armoured security forces. Jensen’s in Prague to search for Rucker, the alleged leader of an augmented rights terrorist group. As per usual, you’ve got the option of going in guns blazing, or taking a more circumspect route. Szczepkowski confirms that once again Jensen can go through the whole game without killing anyone. That, umm… doesn’t happen here.
There are some new augmented tech abilities that look like a lot of fun, and the game’s futuristic environments are looking fantastic. Eidos has also made some major changes to the ”combat pillar” since Human Revolution, making the shooting more satisfying and adding new elements like different ammunition types and new powers.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released in early 2016, on PC and consoles.
