Tales of Berseria is the sixteenth game in the long-running “Tales of” series, and publisher Bandai Namco has officially announced that it will be hitting PC when it’s released on Western shores.
The game is notable in that it’s the first time in the series that will feature a female character as the sole protagonist, named Velvet. She is described by Bandai Namco as ”a young woman whose once gentle nature has been replaced and overcome with a festering anger and hatred after a traumatic experience three years prior to the events within Tales of Berseria imbued her left hand with a special ability.”
Bandai Namco has also retained Mutsumi Inomata, Kosuke Fujishima, Minoru Iwamoto, and Daigo Okumura for the game, all of whom are veterans to the “Tales Of” series. The designers will be helping create the game’s many characters. Japanese animation studio, ufotable, is also returning to animate the game’s cutscenes.
Tales of Berseria will be coming to PC and PlayStation 4 in 2016.
