Star Citizen’s 1.1 update has dropped, adding a couple of ridiculously expensive ships alongside a huge list of tweaks and gameplay improvements.
The new ships are the Aegis Gladius, available for the piffling price of $90, and the Aegis Retaliator, barely making a dent in your wallet at the low, low price of $275.
In addition to mind-bogglingly expensive virtual spaceships, Update 1.1 adds a new manual and a SimPod for each hangar that gives players an easier way to access the Arena Commander module.
The other big change RSI is highlighting is a new landing system. I won’t bore you with the details (mainly because I don’t fully understand them), but basically the game now recognises and highlights two types of landing zone: governed and ungoverned. Governed points require the requesting of permission to land, while ungoverned ones don’t. In the full game, making sure you have the correct access part to a certain landing zone is important if you don’t want to spend the last few seconds of your life as human shrapnel. As is adhering to the multitude of new rules and systems that govern a safe landing. Find out more in the full blog post.
