Typically DICE likes to shows off its Battlefield series on the PC first, but up until now everything we’ve seen of its highly anticipated sci-fi shooter spectacular Star Wars: Battlefront has been from next-gen consoles.
Fortunately, publisher EA decided to tweet the very first PC footage yesterday. It’s from the same Tatooine multiplayer level we’ve already seen, but damn is it good to see some stormtroopers getting blaster-rifled in sweet 60FPS.
The PC version of #StarWarsBattlefront has it where it counts, kid. Check out Tatooine, captured on PC.

Not bad at all. It's impossible to tell just yet whether Battlefront's gameplay will live up to those smooth visuals, but at least we can be certain that real Star Wars authenticity is there. Sounds, weapon models, world design, it's all looking great.
Star Wars Battlefront is out this November 6, for PC and next-gen consoles.
