Graphics card company Nvidia is working with Warner Bros and Rocksteady to fix the stuttering mess that is the PC port of Batman: Arkham Knight, which has now been pulled from Steam after a backlash from costumers.
”We are working with WB Games and the development teams to address the performance issues of the PC version of Batman Arkham Knight,” the company told Videogamer. ”We have made our QA and engineering resources available and will provide updates when they are available.”
Just as well, really. Earlier this month, before the game hit shelves, the company released the video above to demonstrate the ”incredible effects” NVIDIA GameWorks brings to the game. There have been accusations that the 60FPS footage shown off in the video is actually just 30FPS footage sped up - listen carefully, and the enemies Batman is battering do seem to be yelping in high-pitched chipmunk voices.
Whether that’s the case or not, the footage is certainly nothing like what most players experienced when they sat down to play Arkham Knight on their PC.
