The Game Awards is fast becoming what amounts to the Oscars of gaming. There’s a lot of pomp and circumstance behind the ceremony and a ton of great games have been presented on that stage, including Skyrim. Recently, The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighly boasted that we can expect 10 new games to premiere at the show this year, including Far Cry: Primal
Keighley offered up a couple tweets offering an idea of what fans can expect to see today, offering Far Cry: Primal as a taste of what’s coming. Far Cry: Primal is the latest endeavor in the Far Cry franchise from Ubisoft Montreal. As opposed to the environments of other gun-heavy Far Cry games, Primal takes place in 10,000 BC, which is decidedly barren of firearms, so game play has been a matter of interest this time around.

Keighley went on to answer to a query about what would be featured in the Far Cry: Primal trailer, clarifying that this would be a world premiere look at gameplay in the game which is no doubt of definite interest to fans who have been following the franchise. Altogether, even those who aren’t interested in seeing the awards portion of the show might be interested in seeing the games that will be premiering during the event.
The Game Awards 2015 will take place on Thursday, December 3rd at 8:30PM US Eastern Standard Time.
