Black Desert Online is a successful action MMORPG from Korean developer Pearl Abyss being brought westward to European and North American markets by Amsterdam based Daum Games. Today, Daum has announced a date for the first Black Desert Online Beta Test alongside a new class announcement and video.
The class announced this time is a class popular to the Black Desert series, the Tamer. The Tamer is uses quick strikes to fend off opponents, but is also able to call upon a massive wolf-like divine beast. The Tamer can attack in tandem with the divine beast, using its strength as fodder and distraction while both Tamer and beast do damage. The Tamer can also ride the divine beast for increased mobility and vicious assaults.
Announced in a press release, Daum stated that the first official Beta test for Black Desert Online will take place on December 16th starting at 7AM UTC and ending on December 22nd at the same time. Players will be able to play all of the classes previously showcased in videos and the alpha, as well as the Tamer in this Beta test. In addition, players will be exploring a new region, Calpheon, and its massive capital city of the same name.
In order to access the Beta, players must pre-order either the Explorer’s Package ($49.99) or Conqueror’s Package editions of the game. Black Desert Online doesn’t currently have an official release date yet, but is expected to come out in early 2016.
