Two weeks ago, a French Amazon.com site listed a 29 January 2016 release date for the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, the current limited time exclusive on Xbox One. Now, Steam lists the PC version as coming in January 2016.
Rise of the Tomb Raider has been getting rave reviews, but the game was seriously overshadowed by Fallout 4, launching on the same day for the Xbox One. Some of the new game mechanics brought to the game are a new weather system and a day/night cycle, both of which affect gameplay.
The game is the sequel to the Tomb Raider reboot, set a year after the first game. Lara Croft has started investigating her father’s research, and has followed his writings to Kitezh, a legendary Russian city which promises the secret of immortality. The quest ends up revealing an ancient conspiracy.
