Dark fantasy RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has a bug problem, and not the kind a witcher silver sword can handle. CD Projekt RED has acknowledged a nasty little problem has snuck in with the 1.04 patch.
The problem is with earning experience from any quest that’s marked 6 levels (or lower) beneath you. All other quests should be okay though. The developer has ”found the issue” and are ”especially sorry”.
Some are reporting that it has caused problems with quests less than 6 levels below their current level however. This particularly nasty bug should be sorted out soon and seems to affect the PC and PlayStation 4 versions.
”Quests that are 6 levels (or more) lower than yours are not granting experience. Anything else should reward you with exp, we are looking into the issue,” posted a dev on the official forums.
They later added: ”We have found the issue and started working on a fix. We’re especially sorry about this bug!” Hopefully a hotfix will be released soon to the PC. A new trailer has been released incidentally, called the Beautiful World of The Witcher.
