It’s the last day of the month and here’s Teaser #7 for Paradox Development Studio’s soon-to-be-revealed Project Augustus. We’re told this is ”a project we’ve always dreamt about doing,” and not just for the internal devs.
Some have noted that Paradox has expressed a desire to boldly go to man’s final frontier before, i.e. space. Could this be a grand strategy set among the stars? If so, what shape would it take? Real-time or turn-based?
Many questions are being raised but we’ll have to wait until Gamescom next week to find out what this Project Augustus is all about. Everything spilled so far from these weekday teasers doesn’t exclude the possibility of travelling beyond Earth.
”This is a project we’ve always dreamt about doing, something all of PI have been involved in, not just the PDS developers,” read the latest Teaser #7. Previous hints have told us stabbing pigs won’t be involved, that the numbers Three and Seven were important, and that elections and technological advancement played crucial roles.
Terrain would also have a big impact and it’s not set during the Cold War, with Henrik Fåhraeus taking the role of Game Director, hailing from Crusader Kings and Hearts of Iron.
Gamescom runs August 5-9 with it open to the public from August 6th.
