The Saints Row series has been incredibly successful for developer Volition. Given that their last few releases have strictly been Saints Row games, you may be wondering if/when they will release something new. Well, there’s information out there which may have the answer to that question. Game Informer have found three pieces of evidence that suggest Volition are working on a new IP named Agents of Mayhem.
The first piece of evidence comes in the form of a trademark filed in two days ago.
The second piece of evidence is from animator, John Velazquez. His personal website includes a copy of his CV which states he worked on Agents of Mayhem for one month.
The last piece of evidence was found at Istunt, a directory for stunt actors. One of the actors on the website, Brandon Molale, has Agents of Mayhem motion capture listed on his page.
Volition haven’t really branched out all that much since they made the first Saints Row game back in 2006. The only games Volition have made that aren’t part of the Saints Row series are Red Faction: Guerrilla and Red Faction: Armageddon, and they both released back in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Of course, developers can work on more than one game at once so there is a chance a Saints Row game is still in development. We imagine there will be an announcement at E3, so stay tuned for that.
