The rebirth of Killer Instinct emerged as an Xbox One exclusive launch title back in 2013. Three years on, Microsoft is still committed to their all-star brawler; so much so that the Definitive Edition is their latest 'Play Anywhere' release.
For those still unaware of what this means, Microsoft's 'Play Anywhere' initiative attempts to be a blunt as possible - buy their game and play it wherever you please. That's assuming you have something to play it on.
With a roster now 26 characters strong, the once Xbox only 'Definitive Edition' brings the complete Killer Instinct package to the PC. And for anyone already playing it on their Xbox One, it'll become instantly available on their Windows 10 PC. Buy it on either platform now and you'll have both versions to enjoy; and, unlike Gears of War 4 (for now) they're completely cross-compatible in multiplayer, too!
In-between brawlers at the minute? Akuma returns to Street Fighter V!
Microsoft is already planning to announce more for the game's fourth year, but anyone buying into the experience now will have all 26 characters, 20 maps and every costume, trailer, track and clothing colour available to them from the get-go. And, according to Redmond, "As an added bonus, it also comes with behind-the-scenes videos, never-before-seen concept art, and a full universe map so you can read the bios and backstories of all your favorite characters."
So that's nice.
