Straight out of the latest technical alpha and Ubisoft is already paving the way for the final test run of 'For Honor' - sign ups for next month's 'Closed Beta' are open.
While some we question the credibility of running such a test so close to release, the vast majority of 'testers' are merely using it as an opportunity to try the game out early. Think of it as a timed multiplayer demo, rather.
By heading on over the the official 'For Honor' website, you can slot yourself in for a chance to be hand-picked for a test we imagine won't be short on players to draw from a hat. Scheduled to run at some point in January, there's still a little while to go before any hopeful Gladiator spearing. They're even using it to stage the game's first Splatoon-style event to question whether the Vikings, Knights or Samurai would come out on-top in a skirmish.
For the sake of comparison, the For Honor closed alpha test was Ubisoft's biggest yet.
“War of the Factions will track all multiplayer activity across all platforms in the closed beta launching January 2017,” says Ubisoft. “Rewards will be given to warriors participating in the beta as well as the winning faction.” There's 12 heroes scattered throughout those 3 factions, so you'll have a fair amount to choose between.
Remember to sign up! Who knows whether past sign-ups are still valid; but there's no harm in trying again. For Honor releases February 14.
