We reported earlier on Bethesda’s DLC plans for Fallout 4, but one important detail slipped under the radar. Namely that the price of the game’s season pass is very nearly doubling.
“Given the expanded DLC plan, the price of the season pass will increase from the current $29.99 to $49.99 USD (£24.99 to £39.99 GBP; $49.95 to $79.95 AUD) on March 1, 2016.” If you currently already own the season pass, or plan to purchase it before the price increase on March 1, you’ll still get all the content associated with it. After that date, though, you’re paying nearly the price of a full game for a selection of expansion content.
While I’m all for substantial expansion packs, $50 is a huge asking price for a selection of DLC. Here’s hoping the content justifies the cost.
