Reddit user/dataminer flashman7870 may have discovered the name of the next DLC in Fallout 4 – Nuka World.
In the screenshot below, you can see the hex editor display the following: DLCNukaWorld.esm, DLCworkshop02.esm, DLCworkshop03.esm. Most (if not all) Bethesda games use the .esm file extension to indicate game files. Every DLC expansion (specifically for Bethesda games) purchased on Steam arrives in the form of a .esm file, so it would appear flashman7870 has found the right file.
If you don’t like the sound of the Nuka World or workshop DLC, why not check out our Fallout 4 mod page instead?
Fallout fans have been speculating what this Nuka World could entail. Most people are expecting a post-apocalyptic Disney World style theme park, which would certainly fit the game perfectly. The idea of a Nuka World also goes well with the Fallout 4 advertisements (if you aren’t familiar with the specific advert, it will be the main image for this article). Hopefully Nuka World will be reminiscent of the Nuka-Cola Plant in Fallout 3.
The other two .esm files are for the workshop part of the game. I’m sure a lot of people will be slightly disappointed in hearing that Bethesda are going to continue supporting this part of the game, but it’s better than nothing. The last workshop expansion was the Fallout 4 Wasteland Workshop DLC, released in April.
