If you haven’t guessed from any of Hideo Kojima’s wacky stories (primarily the ones involving a clone of a man who had himself cloned three times, but not by his own freewill), Kojima likes to a lot of weird things when it comes to his game’s story. Death Stranding is no different when it comes to secrecy, which is why any details relating to the story are being hidden for the time being.
Speaking to Geoff Keighley at YouTube’s E3 2016 live show, Kojima announced Death Stranding will be an action game url=http://www.gamewatcher.com/news/2016-11-05-hideo-kojima-s-new-game-will-be-an-action-game-says-it-will-appeal-to-uncharted-fans[/url], and that he is intentionally keeping details about the game hidden from fans.
What we do know about the game is that it probably won’t be out for a long time, and that it’s going to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. There’s a chance it will come to PC thanks to a tweet by the PlayStation EU Community Manager. The Community Manager confirmed the game would only be a temporary PlayStation 4 exclusive title, but their tweet was later deleted.
Kojima didn’t want to leave fans with nothing so he spoke about the game’s title. Death Stranding is supposed to be likened to a mass stranding (or a Cetacean stranding), where whales and dolphins strand themselves on land to die. What does that mean exactly? No one knows. What are the chances we will ever know what Death Stranding truly means? Probably about 5%. That’s Kojima for you!
We’ve linked to the Death Stranding trailer below in case you haven’t had the opportunity to watch it. It’s a bit mental, but stick with it.
