Techland and Inxile entertainment have revealed the new Nano class for upcoming RPG Torment: Tides of Numenera which has been in development on steam’s early access platform. The game has been highly anticipated by role-playing game fans for quite some time.
Tides of Numenera is the thematic successor to Planscape: Torment and is based upon the world created by Monte Cook but set to take place a billion years in the future. The game is set to offer players plenty of exploration and innovative turn-based combat.
The developers went on to talk about the new class saying “Nanos are the sorcerers of the game, blessed with the ability to alter reality to gain an advantage over other character classes. Unlike the use of magic, however, Nanos have an innate ability to tap into ancient, advanced technology (known as Numenera) left by previous civilizations.”
They continued to talk about how the new class will play in terms of their abilities “As their defensive abilities are limited Nanos should be used as ranged characters where they can read the minds of their enemies, unleash a combination of ranged attacks and warp themselves (plus fellow party members) around the battlefield to gain a strategic edge.”
Techland also released a new character class video to let players see the new class for themselves. The developers will also be released two all-new character class videos over the next two weeks, so plenty more news is in store for the upcoming rpg.
